ELIAS HASSINGER joined the Workers’ Compensation and Disability department in May 2011. He represents the interests of employers and their insurance carriers, primarily in defense of claims for Workers’ Compensation disability benefits. He handles every aspect of defending a claim, from initial investigation and testimony of fact and medical expert witnesses, to brief writing and argument before the Court.
Prior to joining the firm from December 2007 through April 2011, Mr. Hassinger was an associate in a small labor and employment law firm where he represented the interests of injured workers under the Pennsylvania Heart and Lung and Workers’ Compensation Acts. From December 2006 through December 2007, he served a one-year clerkship with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Chief Counsel.
Mr. Hassinger has represented clients, and received favorable decisions, in Heart and Lung Act Arbitrations, before the City of Philadelphia Civil Service Commission, and before Workers’ Compensation Judges and the Appellate Board throughout the Commonwealth.
