MICHELE L. LARISSEY has defended corporations in products liability and toxic tort litigation since 1997. Her experience includes representing product manufacturers, premises defendants, and suppliers in asbestos and silica litigation.
Before joining Swartz Campbell LLC’s toxic tort team, she worked for national counsel for a Fortune 200 company. There, she was responsible for managing the company’s asbestos litigation in Indiana, Michigan and Cook County (Chicago), Illinois, as well as assisting in the management of Ohio cases. The company was routinely sued for both products and premises liability.
Prior to moving to Cleveland, Ohio, Michele lived in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked for national counsel of a large product manufacturer, served as regional counsel for several other corporations, and practiced asbestos litigation in Madison County and St. Clair County, Illinois. In addition to representing suppliers and premises defendants, she has represented numerous manufacturers of varying product industries throughout her career, including wire and cable, gaskets, packing, valves, boilers, automobile manufacturers, friction products, pipe covering, refractory, ceiling tile, and flooring.
Along with her practice in toxic tort and product liability litigation, Michele also represents insurance companies and/or their insureds in insurance defense and insurance subrogation.
Michele is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Illinois and Missouri, as well as the Southern District of Illinois and Northern District of Ohio. She obtained her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1996 and her B.S.B.A., with emphasis in Marketing, from the University of Missouri in 1992.
