DANIEL R. MICHELMORE, an associate in the Pittsburgh Regional Office, specializes in the defense of civil matters in both state and federal court. His practice focuses on a wide variety of civil litigation areas, including municipal law, civil rights law, employment discrimination, and general tort litigation.
Mr. Michelmore is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Prior to joining Swartz Campbell in 2005, he served as law clerk to the Honorable R. Stanton Wettick, Jr. of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. He received his B.A. in International Studies from Kenyon College in 2001 and his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004, where he was an Articles Editor on the Journal of Law & Policy and the recipient of the Christophine G. Mutharika International Law Prize and the Land Use Law Prize.
Mr. Michelmore has significant experience abroad, having lived in Pakistan as a child and studied in England and India while in college. During law school Mr. Michelmore spent a summer working at a human rights law clinic in Kathmandu, Nepal. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball, going to movies, and reading about politics, history, and architecture and design.
