DANIEL M. TAYLOR, JR. is a partner in the firm’s Pittsburgh Regional Office. He focuses his practice on tort and insurance litigation, including bad faith, arson and fraud, construction defects, personal injury, UM/UIM, insurance coverage, life and disability claims. He has also recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for subrogating insurers.

Mr. Taylor is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1991) and West Virginia (2006). He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He has successfully argued a variety of tort and insurance-related matters in the appellate courts, including the widely-cited Tenos v. State Farm, 716 A.2d 626 (Pa. Super. 1998).

Mr. Taylor serves as Outside General Counsel to the FAIRPlans (statutory residual market mechanisms for property insurance) of Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC). He is a frequent lecturer on topics of concern to the Insurance Industry. Mr. Taylor is also a former member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers.

Mr. Taylor received his BA from the University of Pittsburgh and graduated cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Law Review.
