J. BENJAMIN NEVIUS is an associate in the firm’s Allentown regional office, where he specializes in complex litigation, general liability, bad faith, uninsured/underinsured motorist law, and insurance coverage issues. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Berks County Bar Associations. He is an active member of Berks County’s Young Lawyers Division, where he is fortunate enough to participate in a number of its community outreach programs.

Mr. Nevius obtained his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law in 2004, where he was a member of the Criminal Law Society. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Elizabethtown College in 2001. At Elizabethtown, he was on the Dean’s List and was a two-time recipient of the College Brick Award for outstanding service to the College and the community. Before joining Swartz Campbell, Mr. Nevius was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Jeffrey L. Schmehl in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas, where he gained significant exposure to a wide-range of civil and criminal issues.

In his free time, Mr. Nevius is an avid fan of baseball, hockey, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, camping and other outdoor activities. He is an active participant in the political process and is passionate about the history of our nation, the law and the Supreme Court. He is a frequenter of local “open mic” nights, where he enjoys playing guitar and piano. He is engaged and currently resides in Douglassville, Pennsylvania.
