James C. Haggerty, a managing partner of Swartz Campbell LLC, graduated from Georgetown University (Magna Cum Laude) and Villanova University School of Law. Mr. Haggerty concentrates his practice in the area of defense of bad faith, insurance coverage, first party, uninsured/underinsured and class action litigation. He is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the Defense Research Institute and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. Presently, Mr. Haggerty is Executive Vice President of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. He also serves as Chairman of the Automobile Liability Committee for that organization. Mr. Haggerty is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.

James C. Haggerty is a frequent lecturer and author throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In this regard, he has authored materials and presented seminars on developments under the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Law, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, coverage issues, bad faith claims in Pennsylvania, etc. He continues to write articles and present seminars on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
