NORMAN L. HAASE, a partner in the Media office, specializes in toxic tort litigation. He also handles personal injury claims and business disputes. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1968. He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Since 1969, he has tried dozens of civil jury trials through verdict.
For each year since 2005 when 34,000+ PA lawyers have been polled, Norman Haase has been rated as a "Super Lawyer" within the top 5%. In 2007, he has additionally been numbered within the top 100.
He is a member and past President of the Delaware County Bar Association. He has written articles and presented seminars on various aspects of Pennsylvania civil practice, including Observations of a Judge Pro Tem, Effects of Statutes Upon Litigation and Differences Between State and Federal Court Practices.
Mr. Haase served as Chairman of the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee for over 10 years. He has received many Bar Association honors, including the E. Wallace Chadwick Award and the Paul R. Sand Award.
Mr. Haase graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gettysburg College. He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and completed the Academy of Trial Advocacy in 1977. Mr. Haase also served in the US Marine Corps.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Haase uses his law degree to help out on a pro bono basis. Such efforts have included his counseling the Concord Day Care Centers, Banneker House Community Center and the Delaware County Legal Assistance Association. He was a founder and first President of A Better Chance, a minority student education program. He was an elected Wallingford Swarthmore School Director from 1985 to 1989.
