GREGORY M. STOKES is a partner with the Toxic Tort Litigation Department in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Stokes specializes in the defense of product manufacturers, suppliers and premises owners in asbestos-related cases. Mr. Stokes is also experienced in the handling of general liability claims, including the defense of first-party motor vehicle actions, uninsured and underinsured motor vehicle claims, construction defect lawsuits, products liability actions and premises liability cases. Mr. Stokes has represented clients that include Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities, independent owner-operators, and commercial motor carrier drivers in state and federal court.
Mr. Stokes actively participates in arbitration and major jury trial cases from their inception to the final resolution. In representing the client, Mr. Stokes handles all phases of litigation, including the initial case investigation, discovery, depositions, motion practice and the preparation of witnesses and experts for trial.
Mr. Stokes received his Juris Doctorate from Temple University, Beasley School of Law, earning distinguished advocate honors in Temple’s nationally-ranked Trial Advocacy Program. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish for International Service with a minor in Politics from The Catholic University of America, where he was a member of the University Honor’s Program and the varsity football and soccer teams. Mr. Stokes is fluent in Spanish having traveled, studied abroad and lived in Spain.
Mr. Stokes is a member of the firm’s management committee and is also the Privacy Officer for the firm’s Information Security Team.
