OFFICE HISTORY

Swartz Campbell’s Pittsburgh office began with three lawyers in October of 2002. It has since grown to 22 lawyers and is now Swartz Campbell’s largest branch office. This dynamic growth led to the office being featured in the February 13, 2006 Business Profiles section of Forbes Magazine.

Since October of 2004, the Pittsburgh office has been located in one of Pittsburgh’s premier locations, the U.S. Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh. This central location allows easy access to Allegheny County civil and criminal courts, Federal Bankruptcy Court as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

AREAS OF PRACTICE AND EXPERTISE


The attorneys in Swartz Campbell’s Pittsburgh office have a wide range of areas of practice and expertise. The focus is on Civil Litigation particularly, personal injury, products liability, toxic tort, environmental law, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, medical malpractice, construction litigation, premises liability, subrogation, silica and asbestos litigation as well as workers compensation. Four attorneys in the Pittsburgh office were recognized in 2007 by the publishers of Philadelphia magazine and the Pennsylvania edition of Super Lawyers magazine as being among the top 5 percent of practitioners in their practice specialty within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Several attorneys in the Pittsburgh office act as national coordinating counsel for multi-national corporations. In this role, they are directly involved in the litigation as well as providing direction and supervision of local counsel throughout the country. Through their efforts, a consistent, systematic and cost effective defense is provided to their clients throughout the country.
