HOWARD SCHULBERG is a Partner and member of Swartz Campbell’s Litigation Group. The central focus of his practice is on personal injury, civil rights, municipal law and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Schulberg has extensive trial experience over the past forty years at various times representing injured parties while at other times representing those being sued. Over the course of his legal career he has gained a wide-ranging foundation in the civil litigation field, representing individuals, corporations, municipalities and other public bodies. He is considered among the very best of the Allegheny County trial lawyers; having been elected to the Academy of Trial Lawyers in 1993.
Well-known for his proficient conciliation skills, Howard is an experienced arbitrator and mediator and ADR has become an ever-increasing practice area for him. He has also served as a Special Master in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, presiding over both jury and non-jury trials.
His involvement with non-profit organizations include: former board member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Pittsburgh, a board member of the First Tee of Pittsburgh and volunteer services at Animal Friends.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Howard earned his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of West Virginia, the Supreme Court of Ohio, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
