ROBERT GRIMM is a partner in the Pittsburgh office. He handles a wide variety of insurance defense cases and all aspects of insurance defense litigation. He has litigated serious and complex personal injury and wrongful death cases arising out of personal motor vehicle and trucking accidents. He has also handled and tried personal injury actions arising out of construction accidents and/or injuries arising out of slip and falls. He has defended numerous construction companies for injuries occurring on the job site. He has also defended insurance companies in UIM/UM matters. He has assisted insurance companies in coverage related issues and has advised and represented insurance companies in bad faith litigation. Mr. Grimm continues to handle all aspects of employment litigation before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and has litigated employment discrimination cases before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
He has defended numerous political subdivisions within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including police officers for civil rights claims as well as claims seeking recovery of personal injuries. Mr. Grimm continues to defend individuals and companies for all general liability matters.
He has also represented and defended attorneys, physicians, hospitals and real estate agents against professional liability claims. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict before juries throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and practices in most counties within the state. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice and has argued cases before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Grimm received his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in 1984 and he conducted his law studies at the University of Akron in 1988.
