Attorney Kristopher A. Kachline Joins Swartz Campbell Law Firm As Partner

PHILADELPHIA, September 27, 2017: Swartz Campbell LLC is pleased to announce that Kristopher A. Kachline has joined the firm as partner.

Since 2012, Kristopher A. Kachline has been lead counsel in the litigation of over 200 occupational cancer claims arising out of Act 46 of 2011, which amended the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act to include cancer in firefighters as a presumptively work-related occupational disease, if certain criteria are met. In addition to occupational cancer claims, Mr. Kachline also handles a variety of cases involving toxic exposure and cardiac conditions, along with general employment and workers’ compensation cases.

Mr. Kachline graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science, with additional work in biochemistry. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for several years before law school. He graduated cum laude with his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Mr. Kachline served as senior staff on the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, was Vice President of the Moot Court Honors Society and was member of the Moe Levin Trial Advocacy Honors Society, where he earned several awards. Mr. Kachline earned a Certificate in Health Law, completing the program with honors. He also received the annual Reed Hamilton Award for excellence in Health Law in his final year. Mr. Kachline interned at the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, Independence Blue Cross Office of General Counsel, and the health care fraud department of The United States Attorneys’ Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. He serves as a board member of the Pennsylvania Self-Insured Association.
